Education Continuity During Covid-19

The novel coronavirus has infected over 2 million1 people globally. Governments globally are taking measures to enforce social distancing, which has included halting large parts of public civil life, most importantly regular schooling. To ensure resilience within their education systems, governments have enacted reactionary and varied responses to COVID-19 across multiple dimensions.

This document serves two objectives:

  1. Provide an overview of country responses to ensure education continuity following the spread of COVID-19
  2. Outline a set of recommendations, targeted at education policymakers and delivery institutions, to build resilience into their education systems and ensure continuity during times of public crisis.
