Overview
The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) will be hosting their 2019 Global Summit in Seville, Spain from 2nd to 4th April. This year's summit will be centred on the theme of "Changemakers", drawing on the knowledge and experience of participants to promote entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation, diversity, and inclusion.
As one of industry's most significant events, senior public and private sector delegates will be gathering in an open forum to discuss and debate key themes affecting the sector. Over the last few years these have included heads of state, government ministers, C-suite executives, and a broad spectrum of high-profile individuals from associated industries.
This year's program features industry-leading speakers and a conversation with Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States.
Agenda
The WTTC Global 2019 Summit aims to shape the future vision of the travel & tourism industry, capitalizing on the ideas and experience of the changemaking individuals attending the event.
Oliver Wyman's WTTC delegate team will be actively contributing to the dialogue. Digital practice partner and cyber platform lead Paul Mee will be discussing cyber threats, looking at how organizations can respond to the increasing severity and frequency of cyberattacks.
Senior principal, Jimmy Samartzis, will be drawing on his deep knowledge of industry transformation and consumer experience, along with the travel industry, to exchange views on how to innovate the traveller experience. From biometrics to digital identity, security, and travel technology, this promises to be a really engaging panel discussion.
A team of Oliver Wyman's travel industry experts and partners, including Scot Hornick, Jessica Stansbury, Mike Matheis, and Bruno Despujol, will be attending the event and sharing their perspectives on the ground.
