We’re proud to announce that our managing partner for Europe, Christian Edelmann, has been included in the Heroes 35 Advocate Executives Role Model List 2023 for the fourth consecutive year. This recognition is for leaders who are championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity in the workplace.
As managing partner for Europe, Christian has demonstrated rigorous dedication to diversity and inclusion, driving meaningful change across Oliver Wyman. While leading our business in Europe, he has spearheaded efforts to achieve a 50/50 female-to-male ratio across all leadership appointments to the European leadership team. Christian was also instrumental in revising the parental leave program. To help reduce the stigma, he took parental leave to enable his wife to return to full-time work, through his actions he hopes to encourage more men in the organization to take paternity leave.
Christian has also personally initiated conversations about menopause within the business, hosting a panel discussion on the topic and kick-starting the process for relevant policies. Christian serves as an executive sponsor of Oliver Wyman Women's Network, WOW, which focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining talented women within the business.
