Singapore’s Covid-19 cases have risen sixfold since the start of the month, due to outbreaks in crowded migrant worker dormitories. Matt Zafra, a principal in health and life sciences at Oliver Wyman, said as the number of infections climbed globally, the risk of an equipment supply shortage would increase correspondingly. “This is why the health care system needs to continue to ‘flatten the epidemic curve’ to buy time to find alternative sources,” he said.
