The aviation market in the Middle East has been adversely affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, much like the rest of the world. Experts predict that the crisis will stretch well into the summer of 2020, while the International Air Transport Association (IATA), estimates that carriers in the Middle East will lose out on $19 billion this year.
Michael Wette, the Transport and Services Practice Partner of Oliver Wyman (Middle East) however, believes airlines in the Middle East could recover faster than in the West.
