Loyalty schemes are increasing in strategic importance for companies as a number of industries are shifting to placing increasing focus on knowing the customers needs and wants and collecting data to provide them with a better customer experience. We consider the opportunity for investors in loyalty as there is a lot of potential in this segment, the economics of these businesses are complex and there have been a limited number of deals in the space. We also look at value creation levers for loyalty platforms to help acquiring companies realise value in their investment.
