Dr Thomas Garside is a Partner at Oliver Wyman working in our Finance and Risk Management Practice in London. 

Thomas holds a PhD in experimental and computational fluid dynamics and an Master of Arts in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford. After graduation he focused on management and financial markets consultancy, covering banking, insurance, asset management and regulatory clients where he gained 25 years of experience. Thomas returned to Oliver Wyman after seven years of senior leadership experience working on initiatives for global consulting firms. He has also operated in the financial field taking care of stress testing and scenario planning, as well as bank restructuring and asset sale programs.

His client experience incorporates management of multiple programs for various banking systems and groups. Thomas has provided significant knowledge in the fields of mortgage regulation development, and provisioning strategy under COVID-19 scenarios. He has conducted major turnaround and development programs for banking groups as well as climate risk stress testing programs.
