For 20 years, he has been supporting clients from the global payments industry with their challenges in a rapidly expanding and dynamic market at the intersection between financial services and technology.
He advises banks, payment service providers, acquirers, merchants, corporates, card organizations, and payment schemes in Europe and selected international markets. His functional focus ranges from strategy development, growth initiatives, and new business models to digitalization and transformation programs. He also supports cost and efficiency programs as well as pre- and post-merger situations.
After the recent growth phase, payments providers must now reposition themselves to develop profitable and sustainable business models that exploit the significant potential of the industry
Sebastian studied business administration at the University of Cologne, the Stockholm School of Economics and ESADE in Barcelona. He acts as a mentor and business angel for various start-ups and fintechs.
He lives in Berlin with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys sports, traveling, and living out his culinary passion.
