Rob is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Property and Casualty Actuarial Practice, based in New York. As the global strategy and captives leader, he specializes in advising clients on risk management, growth, and transformation topics, with a focus on building innovative captive strategies to improve risk-adjusted performance.
With a career spanning more than 35 years, Rob has a strong track record of driving business growth and helping organizations navigate complex financial challenges and regulations. In his past roles as CEO of a boutique advisory firm, advisory market leader at KPMG, co-leader of the risk and regulation service line at McKinsey & Company, and treasury chief risk manager at GE, Rob has supported reinsurance, banking, technology, and retail clients in areas related to strategy, risk management, regulatory compliance, captive insurance, working capital, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals, and transformation.

He combines deep knowledge of risk and capital optimization and regulatory requirements with advanced modeling techniques to create scenarios that guide bold risk management and capital management decisions. Rob holds a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from New York University. Outside of his work, Rob is a certified EMT, a volunteer first responder, and a longtime board member and council chair for Scouting America. He enjoys outdoor activities, including scuba diving, hiking, skiing, and rock climbing. Rob is married and has two daughters, one of whom just completed law school, and one who teaches STEM to children in elementary and middle school.
