Paul Mee is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Digital and Financial Services practices. He has over 20 years professional experience in helping organizations tackle strategically significant issues regarding strategy, governance, and information security. He leads the firm’s Cyber Risk Management value proposition.
Paul is passionate in his view that Oliver Wyman delivers insight and impact as practical strategists who fully grasp the spectrum of risks across commercial and public sectors. And, with this understanding, shape the strategic ambitions of a given enterprise in managing and mitigating risks and determining what capabilities, operating arrangements, and technology are needed to achieve this.
Paul considers himself an Englishman in New York where he has lived for the past four years since moving from London. Having visited dozens of countries across the planet, he has a passion for travel and cultural awareness.
Paul has co-authored timely publications including most recently “The Equifax Data Breach: And Its Impact on Identity Verification” and the firm’s leading reports on Cyber Risk Management issues, “Deploying a Cyber Risk Strategy: Five Key Moves Beyond Compliance” and “Embedding Cyber Defenses Where They Matter.”
Prior to consulting, Paul held a divisional management role at Firstdirect, within the HSBC Group. He studied Computer Science at Hertfordshire University, UK, and later Corporate Finance and Business Administration as a post-graduate at Kellogg Business School, Chicago.
