Mario Hoerig is a Partner and, together with Lars Hoffmann, leads the actuarial practice for Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. A certified actuary, Mario has close to a decade of experience in the insurance industry. His main areas of expertise are Solvency II, ALM as well as asset and risk modelling in the context of economic capital assessments.
Mario's and Lars' team provide actuarial consulting services to help clients analyze and optimize their risk, solvency and capital positions, as well as to streamline and automate the underlying calculation processes in order to create a unified risk and economic valuation environment.
Mario holds a diploma in business mathematics as well as a PhD in mathematics. He has started his career within the actuarial department of a large multinational insurance company. Before joining Oliver Wyman, Mario, again with Lars Hoffmann, led the German office for a large actuarial consulting firm.
