Lars Hoffmann is a Partner and, together with Mario Hörig, leads the actuarial practice for Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. A certified actuary, Lars has more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry. His main areas of expertise are Solvency II, IRFS 17, actuarial projection models, and the valuation of insurance portfolios - especially as part of M&A transactions.
Mario's and Lars' team provide actuarial consulting services to help clients analyze and optimize their risk, solvency and capital positions, as well as to streamline and automate the underlying calculation processes in order to create a unified risk and economic valuation environment.
Lars has worked as an actuarial consultant throughout his whole career which he started with two Big4 companies in Vienna and Cologne. Before joining Oliver Wyman, Lars, again with Mario Hörig, led the German office for a large actuarial consulting firm.
