Ernst was a graphic designer before changing course to study business administration and economics. In his last year at university, he focused on empirical corporate finance and information systems, both of which prove valuable as he entered the consulting world. Today, he serves as a Partner in Oliver Wyman's Energy and Natural Resources practice.

Ernst is based in Oliver Wyman's Frankfurt office. He leads the European Oil and Gas downstream team and has a focus on trading and risk projects. And, as an enthusiastic snowboarder, he knows a lot about taking risks.
