David Fishbaum

Vice Chair, Actuarial
David Fishbaum is Vice Chair of Oliver Wyman’s Actuarial Practice. David has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, with projects spanning information technology, product design, financial management, and strategic planning.

His work now focuses primarily on assisting insurance companies with the development and implementation of capital management plans.

Before joining Oliver Wyman in 1990, David was with Crown Life Insurance Company.  David is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He is the author of “A New Risk Metric for Defined Benefit Pension Plans,” published by the Society of Actuaries.

David holds an Honors Co-operative Bachelor of Mathematics with a double major in actuarial science and computer science from the University of Waterloo and an MBA (with distinction) from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, with majors in marketing and finance.
