Ben is a partner at Oliver Wyman and leads the Life Sciences Practice in the Americas.
Although Ben is technically aligned with the San Francisco office, he wants everyone to know that he lives in Los Angeles and is a proud Angeleno!
He is passionate about helping his clients make confident choices in the service of developing and implementing growth strategies. His focus is commercial growth strategy in the life sciences industry, and serving biopharma and medical device companies. He has extensive experience across many disciplines including sales, marketing, customer experience, operating model development, and corporate development.
Strategy is about making choices, both in terms of what to do and what not to do. I help clients make these choices with confidence, enabling them to achieve their growth objectives
Ben joined Oliver Wyman after spending a combined 24 years at The Monitor Group and then Monitor Deloitte. For his first project as an analyst at Monitor, he was staffed to a biotech client and didn’t know a small molecule from a large one. And although he was initially an accidental tourist into life sciences, he has wholeheartedly embraced the mission of the industry and is so proud to have a job where he gets to improve the lives of patients.
In Los Angeles, Ben lives in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains with his wife and their two sons. He is an avid mountain biker, backcountry skier, and cooker of meat. He has an MA from UCLA and an AB from Dartmouth College.
