Partner, Americas Head of Energy and Natural Resources
 // . //  Our People //  Mark Pellerin

Mark sits on the Oliver Wyman Americas Leadership Team and Global Energy Leadership Team. His competitiveness and compassion have made him an “insider” to many C-suites — most notably those in the commodities trading, and the waste and environmental services industries. When meeting Mark, you will quickly notice his client-first mentality and obsession over big ideas and financial impact. Mark is also among the firm’s best developers of people.

Mark was a globetrotter prior to settling into a senior leadership role in North America. He has worked with over 80 companies, in more than 10 countries, advising business leaders and principal investors on a wide range of corporate strategies and investment decisions that help accelerate margin improvement with long-lasting impact. Mark is a hands-on and approachable kind of guy, always keen to roll up his sleeves and get messy on the whiteboard, if not out in the field.

Getting out of the office and visiting operating sites is fun and makes it real. I also love to build new relationships.

Prior to Oliver Wyman, Mark's life was all about sports. "As an NCAA Division I Athlete in Tennis, I learned to conquer my goals on and off the court by developing extraordinary discipline — even today I can regularly be found doing CrossFit at 5:30 AM in Houston or New York City, before picking up an oat milk latte en-route the office."

To anyone starting out in consulting, Mark's advice is to "continuously strengthen your network of contacts, colleagues and clients at all levels — listen and learn, stay in touch, find mutual interests and offer to help just because you care."

Mark is a CFA Charterholder. He also sits on the USA Board of Directors for “Right-to-Play”, a non-profit organization focused on protecting, educating, and empowering children, especially young girls, to rise above adversity using the power of play.
