Rikard is a Principal in the Corporate & Investment Banking Practice at Oliver Wyman, focusing on regulatory change and strategy transformations. He has extensive experience in working on large change and transformation engagements at large Scandinavian, European, and global banks, and boasts expert knowledge in embedding regulatory and change-related initiatives within large financial institutions, spanning e.g. MiFID II strategy and implementations, diagnostic and streamlining across non-financial risk areas, AML diagnostics and target operating models. He has also worked on other wide-reaching change initiatives such as target operating model design, legal entity restructuring, and group-wide culture changes.
Managing non-financial risk will continue to be a key focus for banks going forward, along with accelerating the digitization journey, cyber security, and resilience challenges.
Rikard joined the firm after spending 5 years at Mercer, a sister company of Oliver Wyman that is also part of MMC. After building a strong consulting foundation at Mercer, joining Oliver Wyman was the perfect next step allowing him to tackle different types of challenges. The high pace and diversity of projects he has worked on with clients in multiple countries enabled him to develop a deep understanding of banking and finance, and an appreciation of the importance of respecting cultural differences in stakeholder management.

Rikard has contributed to two high profile public publications: he was the lead author of the public AML/AFC report "Coalition against Financial Crime” for the Swedish Bankers Association on a PPP model for Transaction Monitoring, and the author of a World Bank publication: "Listing State-Owned Enterprises in Emerging and Developing Economies: Lessons Learned from 30 Years of Success and Failure", which was written in cooperation with the World Bank, IFC, the African Stock Exchange Association.
Rikard holds a Master of Science degree in finance from Stockholm University. He is fluent in Swedish and English, and can comfortably work using all Nordic languages.
